Description
"What are constellations?" is a 40-second motion graphics project aiming to demystify the stars in the night sky, exploring their historical and sociocultural significance. Early in the design process, I was keen to move away from the conventional dark, grayscale imagery often associated with space. Instead, I chose a vibrant color palette and inner shadow treatment for each vector shape, creating a stylized visual system reflecting the rich cultural impact of constellations. I imagined this piece would be displayed in a museum exhibit; I strived to strike a balance between educational content and engaging visuals, making it accessible for audiences of all ages.
